Hunter River Retreat is the perfect place for anyone looking to leave the city behind.
No, you do not. The road is fully tar from when you exit Maitland Vale Road, right to your cottage door. There is a short drive of dirt road to reach the picnic area ½ way up the mountain, but most cars have easily accessed this area. Please speak with us if you are concerned and we can take you to the picnic area or in turn it is a lovely walk.
Just bring your clothing, food items required and towels for the spa. We supply all linen and towels, some condiments, cooking facilities, guest amenities, games, DVD’s & magazines.
Telstra is very good. Optus is a little patchy just at the main entrance then our guests have not had a problem.
No. Our cottages do not have Wi-Fi. However there are smart TVs in all cottages that you can use your hotspot on your phone or tablet to be able to watch streaming services on the televisions.
No! Unless you book with other couples or family, the cabin/lodge is for your exclusive use only.
Please call or text us! We are on site 24/7, whether it is us personally or our caretaker, someone will be able to help you with any questions or problems. We are here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Our Bluegum and Cedar cottages are the only cottages that are fully fenced where we welcome pets.
